Message from the Principal


May I take this opportunity to welcome everyone back after the summer break and I hope that both students and parents had an enjoyable holiday.

The excellent exam results achieved by the hard work and determination of the Year 11 students who have just left as well as our current Year 11 and the new Year 10 (September 2011) can only be described in one word - `Awesome`. Not only did last year’s Year 11 achieve 49% five A* - C, including English and Maths, the current Year 11 achieved 38% A * - C in Maths with 20% of the new Year 10 achieving a grade `C` in Maths two years early. Furthermore, 75% of our students achieved five A* - C, up from 64% last year. The Contextual Value Added for the school being 1009, 1000 is the figure for the school making expected progress. So, as you can see, we made more than the expected progress with our youngsters.
